LOUISA HOPE, LINDT CAFE SEIGE SURVIVOR
In December 2014, Louisa Hope, along with her mother, and 15 others were taken hostage in the Lindt Cafe Siege. This terrorist action left two innocent people dead and Louisa in hospital for three months. Determined to get 'something good out of this tragic event' Louisa launched the 'Louisa Hope Fund for Nurses at the Prince of Wales Hospital (POW) Foundation’ Louisa wanted to say 'thank you' not only for the incredible care that she had received from the Nurses, but also wanted to acknowledge their professionalism and heart of caring for all patients. In response to the success of the grants given to the Nurses at POW, the Louisa Hope Fund for Nurses has now also been extended to the Nepean Hospital.
