DRESSING & LINE CHANGES: 4 OR 7 DAYS? WHICH ONE IS IT?
DR. KAYE ROLLS
Over the last 30 years Kaye has worked in the speciality of intensive care in a number of roles including senior clinician, educator, clinical manager and clinical nurse consultant. Between 2004 and 2016 she was the clinical nurse consultant (knowledge management) and clinical project officer for the Intensive Care Coordination and Monitoring Unit (ICCMU), now part of the Agency for Clinical Innovation. During this time, she has coordinated the development of state-wide guidelines across core critical care practices and implemented a tracheostomy guideline across acute care facilities in NSW. In addition to this she managed the ICCMU website and moderated the largest virtual community for intensive care clinicians in Australia, ICUConnect. Kaye has taught both undergraduate and post graduate units at Sydney Nursing School and University Technology Sydney. Kaye also collaborates with AVATAR, a research group based at Griffith University, Queensland, on knowledge brokerage and research translation. Kaye’s research interests include essential patient care (infection prevention and oral care), knowledge translation, vascular access, social media and guideline development.
