VIRTUAL REALITY APP FOR TEACHING
PROFESSOR CAROL GRECH
Professor Carol Grech is the Head of School, Nursing and Midwifery at the University of South Australia and is the Chairperson of the Safety and Quality in Health Research Group in the Rosemary Bryant (AO) Research Centre.  Her professional and academic career spans over 40 years as a critical care nurse, educator, academic and researcher.  She is well published and has been involved in a number of national and international research consultancies attracting more than $2million dollars in grants.  Her research interests extend across quality and safety in health care, practice standards, risk management, harm minimisation and prevention of adverse events.  | Carol is an active member of the National ACCCN Education Advisory Panel, an Editor of the Australian Critical Care (ACC) journal and manages the online Continuing Professional Development learning activity linked to the lead article in each issue of ACC. | Carol has led the development of an innovative teaching and learning project to create a virtual city where real and virtual worlds are merged to create a unique learning experience for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing and midwifery students.

KIM GIBSON
Kim Gibson is a Registered Nurse and Neonatal Critical Care Nurse. She is a Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of South Australia and strives to provide high quality student learning experiences.
